Both are quite similar, let's explore the podcast first. Basically, a podcast is an MP3 file that can be streamed to iTunes and dumped onto an iPod or any other mp3 player. In our case, you can download the podcast to your iTunes, throw it on your iPod and listen to it whenever and wherever you want. A podcast, though, is just like an RSS feed. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, meaning anyone can post one to their website and if it is worth subscribing to, users will do so. What happens is the RSS feed will automatically update when a new post to the website has been made and it provides the user an option of either visiting the site or simply checking out if any of the updated content is worth reading or listening to. You can subscribe to RSS feeds through iTunes or an aggregator like Newsgator.
